MyESign · Legal
Personal Data Declaration
Draft v1 — 2026-10-17 — pending legal review
Version 1 · Applies to MyESign at myesign.app, the MyESign app and the MyESign API
This declaration lists every kind of personal data MyESign handles, for senders and for signers: what it is, where it comes from, why we use it, where it is kept, for how long and who else receives it. It complements the Privacy Policy; if they ever differ, the Privacy Policy prevails.
1. At a glance
Printed on the certificate — seen by every party of the envelope
- Each signer's name and email or phone
- When each signer opened and signed, in UTC
- Each signer's IP address and method (typed, drawn or voice)
- The drawn signature image or the typed name
- The identity check result, when the sender required one
- The last lines of the phone-call transcript, for voice signatures
- The document fingerprint, the seal and the timestamp
2. Inventory of personal data
Each line is one kind of data. Where it is stored: grey = our cloud in the United States; blue = held by a provider; green = your own browser. The legal bases are in section 4 of the Privacy Policy.

3. Special topics
| Topic | Laws we designed for | What MyESign does |
|---|---|---|
| Electronic records consent | US ESIGN Act (15 U.S.C. 7001), UETA | Signers tick the consent (or say "I agree" on a call); the disclosure of their rights is in section 6 of the Terms |
| Recording of calls | US federal and state wiretap laws, all-party consent states, GDPR, LGPD | Every signing call says first that it is recorded; nothing is signed without "I agree" and the full name |
| Calls and texts with an AI voice | Telephone Consumer Protection Act and state laws | The sender must hold the signer's prior permission; texts need recorded consent and are not active yet; STOP is honoured |
| Identity verification | Biometric and privacy laws (handled by socialDNA ID) | Optional, by the sender; MyESign keeps only the result; the face engine is not certified |
| AI | AI transparency rules | The call assistant says it is an AI; documents never go to AI providers and are never used to train models |
4. Your choices and requests
- Signers: to decline, tap Decline to sign; for a paper copy, to withdraw consent or to change your contact details, contact the sender (Terms §6).
- Senders: download sealed PDFs from the app or the API; revoke API keys and remove webhooks in Developers.
- Delete a sender account: how to delete your account.
- Anything else: privacy@socialdna.app. Your rights and deadlines are in section 12 of the Privacy Policy.
